Valley, Part 1- 2008
Shot in along the Sacramento River in Northern California, "Valley, Part 1" shows the commonplace landscape of rural California as a poly-rhythmic visual-music experience. Almond orchards come alive - their orderly rows of tangled limbs dance above metered trunks. Rice fields tap syncopated drones with each blade. The pastoral setting is transformed into an active interplay between visual motion and sound.
